Gameplay is split in two main categories: ground battles and space battles. Both occur across three eras: the Clone Wars, with battles happening between the Galactic Republic and therefore the Confederacy of Independent Systems; the Galactic war , where battles between the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire take place; and therefore the refore the war between the Resistance and the First Order.
Each faction has its own unique sort of soldiers that players control, like clone troopers for the Republic, battle droids for the CIS, and stormtroopers for the Empire and therefore the First Order; however, all of them control identically.
Every faction also has specific starfighters, which, unlike soldiers, play differently from each other. Battles happen across a spread of maps, and each era has its own exclusive maps. Thanks again. All PS2 games aren't compatible unless you have one of the first phat models.

You guys were right psp. Sith happens. I don't think the servers are up for BF2 anyway, I know the Xbox ones were taken down a while ago. I would have bought this game for PS3 as well. They need to HD this game and make it available again or even better BF3. Oh man I read this thread with hope. I think someone would have taken note if they would have made this a PS3 game and there were TONS of downloads for it and maybe expanded the franchise.
